It’s just Hayden’s brain can’t come up with anything right now. Fuck, the only thing he can come up with is pulling Shane back. Getting him out of Ilya’s grasp and into Hayden’s.

“I think you like it,” Rozanov says, quiet as anything. And again, he says it in Shane’s ear, but looking dead into Hayden’s eyes. “Hmm?”
