Summary
It is not Nomura that is sucked into Killahead Bridge and ends up stranded in the Dark Lands. It is Strickler.
Eventually, Jim Lake ventures to the Dark lands to rescue Enrique, but ends up being captured himself and is thrown into a cell with a chained-up changeling.
But the changeling doesn't seem to be acting like the Walter Strickler Jim knows. There doesn't seem to be a trace left of the well-spoken History teacher Jim knows. Instead, there is a troll starving for flesh.
Can Strickler even be reached, or is it just too late?

Summary
Hiccup can speak to dragons.
It shouldn’t surprise Fishlegs as much as it does, and at first, it kind of doesn’t. Everybody knows that Hiccup can deal with dragons better than anyone, that he always manages to form a special bond with them that nobody else can figure out. And he talks to them, endlessly chattering to Toothless like he expects an answer. On the whole, dragons do seem to understand, is the thing. Fishlegs talks to Meatlug, too, but he’s always been under the impression that dragons react to his tone more than anything. To his body language too, probably.
But then, Hiccup starts to speak dragon.

Summary
Yet another ‘Jim is a Changeling’ AU, with a twist! Instead of being canon-compliant for a while before Jim gets caught off-guard by turning trollish, he’s a Changeling in the usual way and aware that the human James Lake Junior is his Familiar.
Changeling Jim enjoyed his cover. Human food was far better than troll food. Dr Barbara Lake was an affectionate mother, but absent often enough that his duties to the Janus Order went unnoticed. The neighbour Toby was acceptable company and kept Jim from looking suspicious for having no friends his apparent age. Once in high school, he could slip reports directly to Stricklander along with mundane homework.
And then, of course, Merlin’s Amulet just had to choose Jim as the next Trollhunter.

Royal Knight Link Hallowell, Champion of Hyrule, was the most curious of creatures. Since being assigned as Princess Zelda’s personal knight, Sir Link was never seen without the Master Sword, either strapped securely to his back, or firm in his grasp, blade out and ready.
It was unnerving how her rage against him due to her father’s orders dulled to indifference, to concern. Zelda could not name a time she had seen any emotion on her knight’s face. Not when he was reprimanded in front of his entire squadron (oh, how Zelda loathed her father), not when he won spar after spar against the other soldiers, not even when he was given a whole week off duty to visit his family. It was as if he was made of technology, created without emotion.
However, Zelda knew he couldn’t be robotic. Not when he bled for the kingdom to protect her. Logically, Zelda also knew that, had Sir Link been a robot programmed to protect her, he still wouldn’t have hesitated to jump in front of her, but she was certain that her knight was human, no matter how much he acted like he wasn’t.

It was almost funny how immediately all the fight drained out of Hiccup. Almost.
"Beating myself up?" he mumbled, trying to inject a weak laugh, "What are you– what do you mean? I'm not...I'm not beating myself up."
"Right, 'cause the last 3 minutes were healthy and reasonable self-criticism," Gobber deadpanned.
