Amity's larynx flooded and her sinuses burned from the salinity as she gurgled uselessly and sunk below the shimmering waves. The edges of her vision went dark, and she assumed the rough, slimy feeling caressing her ribs was some sort of kelp or seaweed that the tide was dragging her across until suddenly the flow of water relented and her head was above the surface without her making any desperate attempts to keep it there.

Fics of mine in which Vampires have catlike traits. Retractable claws, tapetum lucida, the ability to growl like a big cat or purr, a tendency to go derpy cat brain mode.
This concept is kinda intrinsically linked to the Owl House, as part of the worldbuilding I've made is that they were banished from the Boiling Isles millenia ago.

"Demon summoning for beginners?", Amity naturally did not believe a single word of such nonsense..
'What if you summon a cute demon girl with fangs?' supplied her mind..
The chance of that happening had to be zero, null,...but...there was a chance..right...and for a chance of a cute girl with fangs..Amity could try..not that anything at all would actually happen..right?
