Summary
A what if scenario for season 1 episode 6 of Hazbin Hotel because I have been in a brain rot for aftermath fics since watching it and it won’t leave me alone.
What if instead of allowing Adam to get the chance to out Vaggie as an ex angel, before the song even starts Vaggie has enough of the angels bull shit and decides to give everyone in the room concrete proof that people can change. The proof in question? The fact that she was an exorcist that was left for dead in hell after showing mercy to a child. Charlie, while hurt that Vaggie never said anything sooner, adds another thing to her list of reasons to hate the leader of the exorcists and his lieutenant once realizing the other unspoken consequences of Vaggie’s Mercy.

Quite possibly one of the best fics I've ever read. It's wholesome, it's hot, Ribbit is exactly as I headcanon her. Jax is really great too.
Ribbit's a bit more experienced while everything is a first for Jax. There isn't a hint of angst in this whole fic, which is quite rare for Jax tbh

Rumi felt a hand on Rumi’s shoulder. Mira had found a vantage point and directed Rumi to it so she could see through the crowd.
In the center of the crowd was a keg, and two of the largest men Rumi had ever seen. Over the keg was a… girl? Upside down? Drinking from the tap. One of the guys had his phone facing the crowd with a stopwatch going up. It had just passed 45 seconds.
“Impressive,” Mira said.

Now Mira stood outside Zoey’s door, heart tapping a frantic rhythm under her ribs. The hallway felt too quiet. Every creak of the floor echoed like it might be footsteps—but it never was.
She knocked, light but clear. “Zo?”
No answer.
She hesitated, then knocked again. “Zoey?” Her voice cracked a little on the full name.
Still nothing.
Her hand stayed on the door longer this time, like maybe Zoey could feel it. Like maybe that would be enough.
“I didn’t mean what I said like that,” she said softly. “I mean—I meant the words, yeah. But not like that. Not to make you feel like you were too much.”
Her voice faltered.
“I was frustrated. Not with you. Just… with how you kept saying you were fine. And I know that’s what you do, but—” she exhaled, her forehead pressing lightly against the door. “You don’t have to pretend with us. With me.”
She knocked once more, more tentative this time. “Zoey…?”
Silence.
Her hand dropped to her side, guilt crashing back down like a wave.
“…Yeah,” she muttered. “I deserve that.”
or.
Zoey gets sick, tries to hide it, and convinces herself that Mira and Rumi have enough to deal with—without being a burden, too.
