Right behind her — right behind her — was Adrien.
Adrien who may or may not be shirtless right at this very moment. Adrien who may or may not be shirtless in the near future. Adrien who was certainly in possession of a chest whether or not he chose to clothe it.
Help.
"Shut up, Nino," groaned Adrien, lovely voice sailing right through the thunderous heartbeat in Marinette's ears — a heartbeat that came to a screeching halt at his next words:
"Hey, Marinette."
Marinette whipped around, nameless organs lodging themselves in her mouth and mangling her attempted greeting of, 'hey, Adrien,' into something closer to "Hmnyeep! Ari— Adri— hi!!"
Adrien was, she saw now, tragically wearing a shirt.
Adrien was also, however, wearing swim trunks. And short sleeves. And sunglasses, ones that were perched on top of his head in a way that was impossibly cool.
'Plan: Melt Through the Floor' was still a go.
(In which people are lost, people are found, bathing suits are destroyed, and everyone ends up running around a lot.)

So if framing Marinette for a false crime won't work, Lila needs to dig deep and find some real dirt. Something concrete that can't be disproved.
In order to do that, she has to get close.

Marinette looked up from her sketchbook, brushing her hair out of her blue eyes. “Oh, hello.”
Something was off about her tone, but he forged through. “How are you? I haven’t seen you in forever.You look great.”
Marinette blinked at Adrien as if she’d never seen him before in her life. “I’m sorry, who are you?”
After graduation and the defeat of Hawkmoth, Adrien gives up his miraculous and leaves Paris. Two years later, he returns to find Ladybug and reconnect with his friends - and runs into his old high school classmate, Marinette. Unfortunately, she doesn’t seem to remember him.
In fact, she doesn’t remember anything.

Summary
Lila figures out that Marinette is Ladybug with one glance, and makes it her mission to make the girl's life miserable. This results in Marinette being involved in an unfortunate accident, in which she loses her memories from the past two years. Unable to remember any of her new classmates, Marinette has to redevelop friendships with Adrien and Alya. Things don't go quite the same as the first time around, however, and Marinette takes a special liking to Lila.
Lila uses this to her advantage and decides to try and locate Ladybug's miraculous before she can remember who she is, so that she can destroy Marinette once and for all.

How much can you take before you simply fall apart?
Marinette is struggling. Her impulsiveness nearly destroyed Paris, She is still reeling from Chat Blanc, Lila is still on her at every turn, and she's suddenly become the guardian, even though she doesn't deserve it. (not to mention the fact that the Kwamis have been acting very strangely around her)
And, Hawk Moth now knows the identities of every single auxillary holder that SHE chose, and it's only a matter of time before he acts upon this new information.
She just... Is reaching her breaking point.
OR
Marinette and Adrien tangle with a powered-up Hawk Moth, their friends being put in danger, and their own mental states as they work to save Paris and each other.
Featuring the impact of Chat Blanc, Answers to questions, A delve into the Kwamis, A look at the mental states of the characters after everything they've gone through (which the writers seem to not want to give us) Fluff, Angst, and a very, VERY happy ending (I promise it's worth it :))
