Barnes weighed exhaustion against disgust as he considered resting his forehead on the edge of the toilet bowl. Disgust won, and he sat back on his heels instead. He turned his head far enough to look at the boy standing in the bathroom doorway.
"Peachy," he rasped. He wasn’t used to having company during his post-mission freakouts. If he'd been alone he would have stripped by the front door so he could just roll his body into the bathtub to hose off, but he hadn't wanted to undress in front of the teenagers. He was still pretty fuzzy on the rules of being a person, but don't traumatize children with your horror show of a body seemed like common fucking courtesy. “This happens every time.”
He realized his mistake as the silence stretched.
“Every time you...blow up a building?” The kid sounded like he was trying very hard to be open-minded. “Is that, like, your hobby?”

this????? is?????? so goood???????? Great characterization, fantastic plot beats, masterful writing, I just love Nonymos' stuff. Brought me through all the emotions too. Love the balance of SQH's general slapstick funny-ness, but also not detracting from the awful circumstances he had been enduring and the genuine despair and fear at times. And then when the slow build romance hit, it HIT SO GOOD because it was raw and complicated but also so so good and healing. And the plot and subplots and how it all ties up. oh it's good.

I had this tab opened for the longest time that I forgot I was reading a Nonymos fic and I was like WHOOOAAAAA this is SO GOOD?? for a crazy plot that is actually super fitting for the world it came from?? who is this MASTER writer, I MUST subscribe
And then I finally scroll up when I finish the fic - and it was like a lightbulb moment, ofc it had to be one of my faves, ofc this incredibly well written fic that had me engaged and bingeing through the day was one of Nonymos' stories.

Reread x1 STILL SO GOOD THE SECOND READ THRU. And still shocks me with how well the plot threads ties up, and so much happened that i was surprised again the second time because I had forgotten how that part wrapped up, and still moved me to tears in moments because it's such a well written story.
ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh my goodness. oH MY GOODNESS. THIS FIC, GUYS. THIS. FIC. IS. SO. GOOD. Everyone is missing out. What do you mean there's only ~2700 kudos??? This needs to become one of the fandom staples for an airplane centric / peak lords fic.
Soooooo goooooood. I've forgotten what a plotmaster Nonymos is. And their fantastic characterizations and dialogue. Their writing is sooooooooo good.

This is so good??? Love the twist on your usual time travel fic! Like...what if someone time travelled back BRIEFLY and just like changed one thing, dropped very random though important but absolutely not all encompassing enough on the big plot, and now that one person who interacted with them has to try to change the plot. Bonus points if side character whose existence changes things. And then then go off to try and figure out who they need to contact.
I'd read a full blown multi-novel fic on this man
