Sirius was hurt, but he still wanted to fix things for Remus. He understood why he couldn’t be a part of the resolution himself, but he could still help. He would make Remus forget he ever existed, that way Remus would be happy again.
It was easy, Sirius made his plan in the span of an hour. He just needed to avoid being in the places Remus enjoyed, sit at the back to avoid making him uncomfortable in classes, avoid mealtimes, and get him to make new friends. Maybe even a new boyfriend. Summary
Chuuya is useful.
It’s one of those undeniable facts of life, and something he had resigned himself to long ago. He has his uses, his roles, and he plays them dutifully; a protector for the sheep, a weapon for the mafia, a vessel for Arahabaki. Any freedom he has is tightly bound within duty. He is free to do as he pleases in the same way that you are free to make yourself at home in the house of another. It’s a pleasantry, sentimentality that holds no real weight outside of polite conversation.
He’s a gun; a tool to be wielded by another. He’s feared and revered for his strength, his power, but in truth it’s all an illusion. Real power comes from control, and Chuuya is a gun with someone else’s finger on the trigger.

Chuuya is valued for his usefulness, and he can’t imagine Dazai liking him for any other reason.

“You’re so stupid,” Chuuya grumbles, pulling the wire of the plug out of the vacuum. “I can’t believe the kids at the Sheep are way better at doing chores than you.”
Dazai’s expression falters, not that Chuuya can see it.
“If Chuuya wanted someone to do chores, maybe he shouldn’t have invited me to stay at his house in the first place,” Dazai says. He said it with the instinctive desire to joke, and while his smile steadily remains, it now feels empty over his lips.
It's not that Dazai doesn't want to do house chores, it's mostly because he doesn't know how. He would rather let Chuuya think that he's being lazy than stupid though.

Atsushi is looking at him very hopefully. Ah, an orphan desperate for parents, even if they're just 'for now'.
It's really not worth hurting his feelings...
"Yeah." I'm gonna kill you, Dazai. "Yeah, I'm your... 'for now' mama." I'm gonna fucking kill you.

When Atsushi is deaged, Dazai drops him off at Chuuya's on his day off. In the process, Chuuya learns that there was something very wrong with Atsushi's childhood and does his best to give him the care he was missing, all the while dealing with the troubling discovery that people call him 'Mama of the Port Mafia' behind his back.

Atsushi is reverted back to a child, Dazai suffers from parental instincts. (And sucks at it) Kunikida shows his concern through violence. (It's received, but he sucks at it too)

“It’s every confession I was too much of a coward to give you,” Kojiro says, and Kaoru drops the paper.
Even after everything, there are things left to say. Some of them have been a long time coming.
