Summary
This work will alternate POV between Astarion, Gale, and Halsin, and focus on character exploration, and expanding on a lot of sub-plots from the game regarding the three of them. The canon events will still occur, but a little out of order, and sometimes for different reasons.
The main plot will revolve around Astarion’s gradual discovery of the Black Mass Ritual, and all the Infernal implications of its completion. His past trauma will feature heavily in this fic, and all that entails. The basic idea is that the Black Mass has been centuries in the making, and there are those in the Hells who would rather not see it succeed… at least not as Cazador intends.

Summary
“Hells below, Wyll, not everything is about your precious soul,” Mizora says with a huff. She arches one brow, looking him over with faint disdain. “Even if I wanted your mangy, chewed-up soul, it’s not yours to give.”
Wyll keeps his face impassive, but a dreadful foreboding creeps along his skin, making his hair stand on end. “Meaning?”
Wyll Ravengard loves Astarion. In the five years since he claimed the omega as his mate, he’s experienced joy beyond anything he ever thought possible. Duke, husband, father; Wyll wears these titles happily, proud to serve the city he loves, and to raise his son alongside the elf he could never let go. Marriage is work, especially when your husband is the Vampire Ascendant, but, despite the challenges, the past five years have been nothing short of blissful.
But there are things he doesn’t know. Things that will shake the foundations of the life he’s built with Astarion to the ground. Can they rebuild from wreckage once the truth becomes known?

Summary
Astarion thought he was manipulating Tav with his clever seduction game. He's certain he's never made a bigger miscalculation when he finds himself imprisoned at the House of Hope.
Gale and Wyll thought they knew Tav. Their judgment of character was severely lacking. It's not fondness for the vampire that sends them questing to find him at peril of their own lives. More like... moral loose ends.

Summary
Raphael offers Astarion a deal he can’t refuse. It’s better than anything he could hope for under Cazador, but he’s probably still in for a pretty bad time.
Maybe there’s a light at the end of the tunnel, but only Raphael would know. For now. Will feature blood and gore, probably some implied non-con (this is Astarion, so you already knew that) also Cazador is his own warning, and Raphael is weird and cruel in his own way.

Summary
The woman tilted her head. "Do you know what we just did to you?"
Astarion's eyes darted between them, perplexed by the question. What they did to him…?
That's when he noticed the Selûnite pendant around her neck. She was a cleric… had she healed him? He tried to piece together a scenario that made any sort of sense, but the details barely added up. Had these people found him? If so, why did they drag him across the city? How did they do such a thing? Why wasn't he in Harborside getting treatment? He wasn't sure exactly how severe his injuries had been, but he knew for a fact that a simple healing potion would not have done a thing to mend him back together.
"Are you… healers?" he asked.
The bearded man's mouth dropped open. "Healers—? What? No," he began to reach for him, but thought better of it and awkwardly closed his fist instead. "Astarion, it's me. Gale."
Astarion didn't recognize his name or his face in the slightest, but the way he was looking at him gave him pause.
"I… I don't…" Astarion shook his head slightly, racking his brain. "I'm sorry… Have we met before?"

Summary
According to her, one of these should appeal to him above all others. It should call to him so clearly that its owner was sure to be compatible with him on a biological level — compatible enough that simply existing near them could begin to purge the rot still pulsing into his body from the wellspring in his carotid artery. Passive recovery, they called it.
Astarion has been mated to a monster for 20 years, a nightmare with no way out. When he finds himself faced with the prospect of freedom, the possibility is overwhelming. How could he get by on his own when just getting through the day is a battle? Fortunately, there's a lifeline, a voluntary program that matches people who have suffered a great trauma with a volunteer whom they are scent-compatible with. By simply sharing a home with this person, healing comes faster than it ever could alone. Astarion is paired with Wyll Ravengard, a young man who has done more for the program than almost anyone else.
It's a simple arrangement - move in, get better, and move on without giving a new alpha any chance to harm him. After all they've suffered, who would expect feelings to complicate matters?

Summary
The pale elf stood stock-still. His eyes betrayed no alarm.
“Astarion,” Halsin huffed. “My apologies. I thought myself alone, and must not have been aware of my surroundings. I hope I didn’t startle you.”
Astarion smirked, his frame breaking into the languid, theatrical stance Halsin found familiar. “My dear druid, I live for surprises. And you,” he purred, his eyes sweeping over Halsin’s expansive torso, “are a pleasant surprise indeed.”
Halsin felt his face grow hot. He disregarded the reaction. Astarion wore his flirtation like a cloak; to be donned when useful, and otherwise set aside. He chuckled, “Well, then, I bid you goodnight. If we’re to tackle the Gauntlet of Shar tomorrow, we’ll sorely need our rest. Walk safely.” He sidestepped the smaller elf and made to continue his walk back to camp.

Summary
Astarion's eyes flick to Tav. And for the first time this evening, his gaze rests. Tav's face shows nothing, carefully composed, unreadable even to Astarion's cunning. It makes his gaze linger. Voluntarily or involuntarily, Astarion isn't certain. He doesn't care. What he cares about is the aura that Tav radiates. He has seen it many times over the years, in Cazador himself as well as in his master's enemies and allies; that promise of power. It's delicious.
Astarion sees a way out of two centuries of servitude and humiliation under Cazador Szarr in Tav, a fellow victim of the mind flayers' abduction.
His next steps are instinctive. Manipulation is what he knows, what he's good at, what his master kept him around for.
His plan works—until Astarion realizes that Tav might be more than he bargained for.

Summary
Perhaps come spring, when the ice thaws, someone will find you. Preferably someone with a conscience, one that would see to the passing of information on to someone in some way. Though, the far likelier scenario is that if someone did find you, they would see the monster you had become and burn your corpse to further cleanse the lands of your abomination.
You can lie to yourself all you want – they’re not coming for you up here. There is absolutely no way in any of the realms that they could know where you were, or where you are.
Your heart feels infinitely blacker, as if it was rotting from the inside out. Like the pain from that sadistic woman in the mindflayer colony. Gods did that hurt. Far more than the gash in your shoulder, or the hole in your side.
No – this was worse. This was deep. It was all consuming. It was the void you have been living with, simultaneously overflowing and starved of everything but space. It was the precipice between existing and caving in on yourself, being sucked into the aching emptiness within your chest.
It was the true feeling of hopelessness.
Though you had no way to know just how much of an augury that thought would be.

Summary
Astarion has found a new lease on life, all thanks to the benevolence of the Absolute. No, living in a tower filled with cultists and having to deal with superior officers who think they can order him around is not exactly his idea of paradise, but anything is heaven compared to life under Cazador. He even gets his own room all to himself.
At least, until one Wyll Ravengard, newest member of the Absolute's ranks, is assigned to his room.
(In which Astarion and Wyll are swept up by the cult before the intervention of a certain magical artifact.)

Summary
Hands reach out from the audience, grasping blindly as Gale walks the perimeter of the stage. Faintly, someone shouts out their undying adoration. Another screams their need to taste his sweat. Try as he might, Astarion simply cannot reconcile this man with the buttoned-up and bookish wizard he’s known for five centuries.
“Now, this next song is a personal favourite of mine.”
Gale tosses the barely-burnt stick to the ground, grinds it beneath a boot. His voice goes sinfully low as he presses his lips up against the mic.
“Worship,” he breathes out, lids fluttering. “With me.”
Five hundred years of freedom has prepared Astarion for anything. Except, as it turns out, his old friend Gale somehow ending up as one of Faerûn's hottest rockstars.

“I wish I could trust you to not break your promises, Astarion,” the devil said. “You know I don’t want to see you hurt.”
The cold fear in his blood dropped in temperature another hundred degrees to something that could have frozen magma. The devil knew his name.
The devil thought they had a bargain.
Astarion didn’t remember.
