Then he was the Silent Knight, a stoic Hero, who hid his flaws behind a carefully crafted mask.
Then he was one with the wild, free and alone, unbidden and stripped of his memories.
Then he was the Hero of Hyrule, in deed now, as well as name.
Then he had to do it all over again.Over the years, Link's relationship with verbally speaking has changed as his circumstances have. Each chapter will cover a different time period of his life, from Pre-Calamity to Post-Totk. Each chapter can be read on its own, like a one-shot, if you're avoiding spoilers.

After Christmas has passed and the case is solved, everything seemed to be turning around for this otherwise terrible December. Well, at least until Yui noticed that Yosuke was acting... really off. At first, she thought it was nothing, just usual Junes-based stress being amplified by the busy holiday season. Until, she realized that, unthinkably, Yosuke's headphones were missing.
She makes it her sworn duty over the next week to figure out what's wrong, and maybe how to fix it. Maybe, she could use this as an opportunity to remind Yosuke how much he means to her.

Link makes a bet with his friends about the mythical sword in the forest north of the castle. Not only does he win the bet, he also gains a lot of other titles and responsibilities, such as becoming the Hylian Champion tasked to defeat Calamity Ganon when it inevitably returns alongside four other Champions from all corners of Hyrule. In order to defeat Calamity Ganon, Princess Zelda needs to awaken her sealing power... which proves to be easier said than done.

I feel it in the way she warms me whenever she is near. Abundant life is found wherever she goes, as if she were straight out of a fairy tale of old, a being so holy even the flowers bow at her feet and the wildest of animals befriend her.
The light she possesses is one of radiance, beauty, and unfathomable purity. I can’t help but notice the way her soul exudes the goodness and light of the Goddess Hylia Herself. I daresay, the celestial body that grants this entire world its brightness and warmth would envy that of her own.
Alas, my feelings for her are irrelevant. She’s exceedingly unaware of them, and even if she knew, my duty prohibits me from ever having the faintest thought of courting her. The mere notion of her regarding me as anything more than her sworn knight is laughable at best…

Her knight is too silent.
She knows him well by now, she likes to think. She knows that, proper and quiet as he is, he utters little sounds of amusement at her words, whispers to alert her of danger, and hums of pleasantry as he prepares them a meal. She knows his laugh filling her ears is a joyous sound that she wishes she could replicate over and over if only to see that care-free smile wash over his face. She knows he makes grunts of pain, huffs of frustration, and goes fully silent only when she stares too long into his eyes. He is careful, as if within cerulean are chambers which hold his most precious secrets. When his cheeks flush and he looks away, bangs covering bright blue and the tips of his ears matching the pink of his lips, she feels relief that he cannot see the nature of her salacious thoughts dripping from green eyes onto pink cheeks.
Link is quiet, yes, but not like this.
