Summary

Her best friend Madison gets pregnant at fifteen by her uncle. Vic watches her afterward, broken in ways Vic doesn't feel broken, and starts questioning what the difference is.
The guilt eating at her isn't about her father. It's about her mother.
A coming-of-age story about a girl who thought she understood transactions — and spent four years learning nothing about love, sex, or choice is clean enough to write.
No rape/non-con. No recovery narrative. No moral resolution. For those looking for a happily ever after: this is as close as you'll get — but it's pretty close.
