“I didn’t expect it to be such a gripping story, really”, Sasaki continues, eyes glued to the screen as if he doesn’t notice the weight shifting beside him, “I’ve only watched two episodes but I’m getting the sense that the BL aspect is really important to the plot. I don’t think it could’ve been set up this way had it not been BL.”
It would be so easy to bend to gravity. It would be easy to tumble bodily into Sasaki because the couch is actually more of a loveseat and the cushions aren’t firm enough to hold their shape when pressed. The trajectory, if Miyano were to follow the call of physics, would angle him rightwards until he falls, shoulder to shoulder against his roommate on a sofa that suddenly seems far too small for two.

Or: Miyano moves in with Sasaki, and the rest follows easily.
OR Or: Wherein falling for your roommate is all too easy, but coming to that realisation is exceptionally hard.

Summary
The kingdom of Hyrule was quite thoroughly dead, and any whisper of a second chance it had had in the few precious moments after Ganondorf had pulled it up from the bottom of the ocean? Equally dead.
Besides, no one even remembered the real thing, anymore. The people who'd lived in Hyrule were long passed, and while the history hadn't been perfectly forgotten, society hadn't taken the time to lollygag or preserve traditions that were useless at best and impossible to maintain at worst.
The people of The Great Sea were a different breed. They were survivors, adventurers, and pioneers. They'd built their own homes and communities, and that coupled with the social isolation that came from living on small islands caused them to also develop their own cultures and dialects.
