Summary
The sun is sluggish as it finally wakes, the horizon its warm duvet it doesn’t want to leave quite yet. Ritsu wishes he could be wrapped up in his duvet too. Shou waiting to walk him to school with a red bean bun and a new picture of his hamsters. Instead he tries to appreciate the beauty. The kind of scene millions of artists would paint, the kind millions more poets would write about.

“What does that mean?” Ritsu asks impatiently. He distracts himself with his own annoyance so much he forgets he originally wasn’t able to look Teru dead in the eyes for this long. “What does any of that mean? Like, i-is that normal? Do friends just… do that? Am I just supposed to do it back or—?”
“Yes!” Teru cuts in. He says it so fast he surprises both Ritsu and himself. Teru clears his throat to recalibrate. “Well—yes, but not in the way you’re thinking.”
Ritsu furrows his brows deeply. “You lost me.”
Not all heroes wear capes, of course, but at that moment—with both Shou and Ritsu's laughter echoing through the empty walls of the Kageyama residence—Teru feels as though he sure as hell deserved to have one on.
