Mikasa sucked in a breath, her heart beating even faster. “The way you made a fool of your brother, how beautiful you looked while you did it. The reason I knew what the emperor had done to you was because it was exactly what I would’ve done myself if I got to you first.” He moved his hand, drawing his thumb along her cheekbone. His touch was so gentle it made her ache. “Though, I would’ve done some other things differently.”
“Such as?” Mikasa asked, doing her best to keep her voice steady.
“The second your brother was dead, I would have married you.”

Eren has been cruising though life on his good looks and sporting talent, and when he sees that Mikasa is in a crisis, he offers her an out: pretend to date him to get the attention of her crush.
The plan is insane, downright ludicrous, and has more consequences than either of them had ever bargained for.

Summary
The cabin was rough and sagging, with four walls made of stacked timber filled in with moss and a mixture of mud, dung and straw to keep the wind from blowing through the cracks, a peaked roof covered with snow, mossy cedar shingles peeking through in patches, icicles hanging down like teeth in some fearsome maw. Black smoke belched from the leaning stone chimney. Armin was the last of his group to arrive at the coordinates. He tramped through the knee-high snow, his thighs aching from exertion and his feet numb with cold. Steam rose from his nose and fingers, the frostbite healing even as the bitter wind lacerated his skin.
It was the last of the daylight, wan, white winter light, an afternoon where the clouds hung heavy with snow and the forest slept. He approached the cabin, shifting his pack and peering through the wooden shutters to see who was inside.
Armin, Mikasa and Eren engage in a wilderness survival training exercise the winter before the Survey Corps mission to Marley.
The thinnest of pretences at plot leading into a threesome and Eren's characteristically depressing pillow talk.
