Summary
Oscar was an alpha, everyone treated him like one at least. “too stoic to be a beta” that was a narrative he’d gotten used to seeing online. “Too broad and quiet to be an omega” okay that one hurt a bit more but it wasn’t the worst thing ever said about him. Now years into the sport and with no one bothering to question him on his second gender, Oscar never felt the need to correct anyone. If they thought he was an alpha then that’s who he would be. It works well, until it doesn’t.

Summary
Oscar had never really put all that much thought into his status as a beta.
As a beta, his secondary sex didn't put anywhere near as much of an effect on his every day life in the way that being an alpha or omega would. He didn't experience heats or ruts, and well… his ability to scent was baseline. His own scent was mild and even, much less prone to souring. In turn, he wasn't as affected by the scents of others either. It meant he had a pretty easy time on the track, all things considered.
*
Or the fic where Oscar shifts from beta to omega and has to deal with the fallout.

Summary
Oscar didn’t intend to have kept his shifter form such a secret. He wasn’t ashamed of it, not really, and a few of the F2 drivers definitely knew what it was; so it wasn’t something he’d set out to do.
He was just up against some really good, and experienced drivers, and he wanted them to take him seriously; especially as the youngest on the grid.
His puppy shifter form was not something that was going to be helpful. Logan knew, and Mark knew, and Fernando knew and that was fine.
or
(Oscar is a puppy shifter, he decides hiding it is the way to go, the rest of the grid reacts)

Summary
It was stupid.
Oscar knew it was stupid. Louis was one of Lando’s closest friends, and yet-
And yet the cell phone in his hands felt like it weighed a ton, the image attached to Lando’s most recent instagram story burning behind his eyelids.Or, the one in which Oscar tries to talk about feeling jealous, Lando says they're not even dating and the grid decides to show him that's his loss, not Oscar's.
Also, Oscar who is not aware of the plan gets increasingly confused by the amount of attention he is suddenly receiving from absolutely everyone.

Summary
“Wait,” Lando says in a lower, familiar register. “I do remember you.”
Oscar freezes. A sudden, violent wave of nausea shoots through him, there and gone in a second. He feels the wound again then, the hollow way it gapes around the air, synapses grasping onto aching lack. Thinks of backs of garages, lapses in conversation, sidestepped eye contact.
Go on, then. Say it.
Or: That McLaren seat never came. Three years after winning F2, Oscar’s a data architect, doing fine. Racing is strictly a thing of the past — except for the late-night sim sessions, the side gigs, the petulant teenager he’s coaching.
And, impossibly: Lando.
