Homeless teenagers weren't uncommon in the area, or in Gotham as a whole. Batman wasn't surprised to hear that another child had found their way onto the streets.
“I'll see what I can do ma'am, but if he doesn't want to go to a home for the night there's not much I can do.”

“I'm going to move the blanket okay? I promise I won't hurt you.”
He didn’t get a response, but the shaking seemed to slow as he spoke. He took off his gloves before peeling the blanket away from their face. It was almost stuck to their face, clinging to them as Batman pushed it away. Unkempt black hair hung over pale skin and dull blue eyes. He sat frozen as the eyes of a ghost slowly looked up at him.

Alfred is away on a well deserved vacation and Bruce is left to take care of the three Bat boys by himself. He's pretty sure he can easily take care of an eight year old, an eleven year old, and a twelve year old without having to call Alfred for backup. He's Batman. Batman can handle anything, right?
