Summary
Harry, after his trial has a nice little chat with his friend Shadow Man, and makes a very sane, and very rational decision, to Not Give a Fuck(tm).
The next morning he realizes some thing, and in doing so ends up running away with Remus and Sirius with nothing more than a half-baked plan. So far, so good.
Hogwarts is in for a treat.(A kind of short story fic, but with plot.)

Summary
Sherlock wasn’t the only one affected when there wasn’t a case. The remaining after effects of immediate excitement and adrenaline, left to die off on its own. Until only the memory of it exists, and they’re left to wallow in their own thoughts and mind.
John’s ‘Black Moods’ are quiet. They’re more like ‘Silent Moods’ if there was a name attached to it. When the silence and nothingness within his own mind and body becomes too much.
His weren’t noticeable until someone were to walk in on him holding a gun to his own head.

Then a pinch at his neck, like a bee sting, but deeper. Darkness. Then here.
Huh. Kidnapped. That’s new. If he was less emotionally dead from finals and sleep deprivation, he’d probably have a stronger and much more appropriate reaction to that.
At least he's got Captain America and the Winter Soldier to keep him company.

“No post on Sundays” Uncle Vernon announced happily, “No damn letters today-”
Something came whizzing down the kitchen chimney as he spoke and caught him sharply on the back of the head. The next moment, thirty or forty letters came pelting out of the fireplace like bullets.
“That does it!” he snapped, his beady little eyes focused solely on Harry, “It’s you that they want. And they won’t stop coming after us until you’re… gone”.
Harry didn't like the sound of that.
“But Vernon, we can’t! You heard what that- that despicable old man told us!”
“Don’t worry, pet” Vernon said, his nasty grin triumphant, “I’ll leave him someplace so far away that those freaks will never trace him back to us. There’s an institute up north, for these- these hopeless cases and whatnot - St Brutus's Secure Centre for Boys. I’ll leave him there, and then we can get back to our nice, normal life”.Or, the one where Harry doesn't attend Hogwarts in first year but finds his way to the wizarding world anyway, and this changes everything.

Harry tore his eyes away from the man on the catwalk. The merry party of wizards were advancing on him with Moody at the helm, leaving Uncle Vernon to smoulder a few metres away. He was asked if he was ready to go, which he didn't respond to. He simply let Moody's gnarly, root-like hand clamp onto his shoulder and lead him away.
They followed all the way to Uncle Vernon's Mercedes. Some of them gave Harry hugs while other whispered reassurances that they'd see each other again soon. That the weeks would fly by and that they would come to get him before he knew it. But Harry knew very well that he was doomed. He knew that this would be the last he ever saw of any of them.
