Lambert can see the way Aiden's pacing along the top of the boundary wall on the far side of the gardens from him, overlooking the ornamental lake, graceful but watchful, from his own perch in the sturdy branches of a huge oak, thankfully bare of leaves for the season. It had been their case first, but after three days of nothing but more questions and no sign of the missing people they'd called in reinforcements, and Lambert's pack had been closest.

Summary
Ariadne slams her laptop shut and starts to gather her notes together, rubbing a hand across her forehead as Eames grabs a paper scrap and scribbles something on it. Everything haphazardly gets thrown into her bag and she trails Eames out into the main area. She heads towards the stairs down to the door but Eames crouches down by Arthur, currently curled up on his side on one of the recliners, hooked into the pasiv. Eames slips his note into Arthur's hand then pauses, gently brushing a stand of hair that's escaped the gel off his face, fingers lingering for a second before he stands again with the ghost of a smile.

It’s another joke. He knows that Theo belongs to Penny and Amelia, but there has to be a reason Maverick is bringing this up.
“You caught me,” Maverick deadpans. Bradley can see Penny elbow him out of the corner of his eye, but he doesn’t bother looking up, too engrossed in the happy pants Theo is letting out as Bradley switches to scratching under his chin. “You could say I did. Sort of.”
“Sort of, huh?”
