Hawks takes a deep breath- the first one he’s had all day, it feels like- because Dabi is in front of him, unhurt, and there is a clear barrier between the two of them and the others.
Or: Hawks gets hit by a bullet that enhances the neatly buried parts of his animalistic quirk. Dabi is the recipient of his, uh, desire.

“‘Sup birdie,” he hears. The voice is familiar, raspy and deep, and it makes Keigo freeze, immortalizing the smile on his face as his gaze snaps up and-and. “Long time no see.”
(or: keigo says "fuck you" to the hpsc, gets his license, has three breakdowns, and gets a boyfriend. not entirely in that order.)
