With fur brushing, petting, and scratching the neck.
They can tell how much trust Ghost put in them to allow them to do those. That’s something 141 secretly treasured.

Summary
The first thing I learned about Sergeant John MacTavish was that he did not know how to shut the fuck up.
The second thing I learned was that I liked it.
Which, I had to admit was unfortunate. Like, wildly, incredibly, unfortunate. Devastating to my professionalism, even. I could even go so far as to say it was something I should have written down in an incident report, and then immediately eaten so that no one could ever find it.
_____
TLDR: Completed! Short fic written in the dead of night because I miss my boy McTavish. Fluff and Hurt/Comfort because we all need it sometimes. POV Comm's operator slowly (actually quickly) falls for the snarky scott over her radio, and everyone else has to suffer through hearing it.

Summary
Simon "Ghost" Riley is adjusting to civilian life after being honourably discharged, recovering from nerve damage, and barely leaving the house. He didn’t mean to lie. He just wanted Price to stop hovering like an overprotective mum. So when asked if he was seeing anyone, Ghost blurts out a lie to shut him up: he has a boyfriend. Problem solved – until Price invites said imaginary boyfriend to Christmas dinner.
When Gaz hears about it, he immediately calls bullshit. And then decides to step in to help.
Enter John "Soap" MacTavish: Gaz’s childhood friend, chaos incarnate, and a civilian working in private security who loves a good disaster. When Gaz asks for help, Soap agrees immediately. Pretending to be someone’s boyfriend for a holiday event? Sign him up.
Ghost expects awkward dinners and limited contact. What he gets is text messages at midnight, inside jokes, Soap knowing exactly how to help without being asked, and a growing problem: this was never supposed to feel real.

Summary
Price is used to finding new paperwork waiting for him at his desk in the morning. Nothing is strange about the fact that there is a stack of papers to go through. Nothing was strange about finding an incident report among them, even if it was at the very top. Nothing unusual about seeing Soap's name scrawled across the top of the page. Nothing unusual about seeing Ghost involved in yet another incident.
What was strange, however, was that Ghost and Soap's names were on the same incident report.
Price finds himself questioning how in the world things got to this point. Interestingly, he finds that he doesn't mind the outcome quite as much as he thought he would.

Summary
Soap and Ghost ask Gaz a question about a rumour they heard, but they word their question in an unfortunate way. Gaz says something he shouldn't have said.
To be fair, Gaz only stated the obvious.
