    Summary

    Jason Todd grew up with a fundamental fear of being seen. Not in the sense of shyness, but in the sense of shame. He supposed, if he wished to contemplate the fear’s origins, he might start where most tragedies do:
    The house he grew up in.
    Where the act of wanting was as good as a death sentence to that desire.
    He supposed he might even make an argument for the statement “people become what they are called”. He thinks that might have some merit, looking back.
    What he fears most, (like most other people), is how obvious it is to others. The fear itself.
    He wonders if they can see it.

    Thanks to a rogue meta, the batfam gets to watch Jason's memories like a movie; and Jason just really wants a family again. But you cannot be loved if you aren't known, and well... if circumstances provide? might as well take the chance, right?

    “What are you doing?” He panted, jumping to his feet, “Why are you both fighting me?”

    “You’re Red Hood; a wanted criminal and a prosperous drug lord. The better question is why wouldn’t we fight you?” Dick scoffed, “Or did you hit your head so hard you can’t remember all the people you’ve killed.”

    “Killed?” Jason echoed; he could feel his skin paling.

    “Duffel bag full of heads, thirty mob bosses shot dead at their meeting, several drug warehouses blown to smithereens, the dude you literally just killed two minutes ago.” Dick replied, “Ringing any bells?”

    “Duffel bag full of…” Jason’s voice caught in his throat, “Heads?”

    Summary

    Jason Todd is seriously injured during patrol one night, and is forced to stay at the manor to recuperate until his injuries are healed. To pass the time, he makes a list of things he never got to do before he died.
    Except there's one small problem: most of them involve Bruce, and Jason doesn't really think Bruce cares all that much about him anymore.

    This is a story about how wrong he is, but I made it sad anyway.
