When the Sheriff hears Stiles yell Dereks name, Stiles has to think of a quick excuse. The Sheriff is not impressed.

“Yep. Yep, said his name,” Stiles confirmed, wincing. “Totally normal. Happens all the time. You know, just thinking about, uh —”
Derek leaned in a little, hands planted on the bed, either side of Stiles, boxing him in, voice low and unhelpful. “What exactly were you thinking about, Stiles?”
Stiles shot him a look. “Shut up,” he whispered furiously before raising his voice to respond to his dad. “Just thinking about Derek! Classic… fantasy.”

"I don’t need an assistant." Derek’s growl was low, his eyes flickering dangerously between their natural shade and something darker.
"Yes, you do." Laura's voice was firm, though her smile was sharp. “Peter needs one too. Should I assign Stiles to him instead, Derek?”
"No." Derek’s voice was tight, his nostrils still flaring, the red flicker in his eyes stubbornly lingering.
"I didn’t think so." Laura’s tone was smug as she placed a hand on Stiles' shoulder. The growl that rumbled from Derek was immediate, low and threatening. His eyes widened for a brief moment before he forced his teeth to clamp shut, cutting it off.

“Okay, before anyone says anything,” Stiles said, stepping into the loft kitchen, “I didn’t ask for a rogue sprinkler system to attack me. It just happened. And, to be clear, I am a victim here.”
Derek sighed, turning to look at the younger man, who was sporting a pair of sweatpants that hung dangerously low on his hips, and a Henley.
Derek—who had been mid-sip of coffee—forgot how to swallow.
The mug slammed onto the counter a beat too late. “Why are you—?”

“You almost fainted,” Derek growled, holding Stiles out in front of him, hands fluttering in the air like he wanted to touch Stiles but didn’t know where. “You’re burning up. Your heart rate spiked. You were—don’t move—”

Almost in a haze wanting to move his hips to prove his suspicion, starting to do so before stuttering when Dreams blunt nails dug into his clothed thighs, shoving George away from his groin, “George,” the blond whispers sternly, like a warning, “Stop moving like that.”

Stiles doesn’t really understand what’s going on any more because Derek is Derek and Stiles is Stiles and they’ve always been separate, even though they’re technically mated now, and he doesn’t know when they were expected to become 'Derek and Stiles' the unit. He doesn’t know when Derek wanted to become that, because even though Stiles is at college now and he’s grown out his buzz cut and started working out every Thursday, he’s still Stiles Stilinski, the kid who’s about as co-ordinated as a peace march in Israel, and Derek is still Derek Hale, he of the cheekbones and perpetual sex-hair and brooding looks.
Or, five times Stiles turns to the wolf for Halloween, and one time the wolf turns to him.

I wrote this for a prompt in the teen wolf kink meme but can't remember where it is now (sorry?) but it was something like this:
Stiles keeps distracting Derek during important/inconvenient situations getting him to say/do stupid things and everyone noticing.
