Summary
Nate is in his last year of A Levels, and life is going brilliantly. He is on course to get fantastic results at Sixth Form, plans to go to Manchester University, loves his best mate Fliss, and can't wait to fully embrace everything life in a big, open minded city has to offer.
Nothing is going to stop him until a silly, drunken idea has wildly unexpected consequences: at the age of seventeen, Nate discovers he is going to be a dad.
Suddenly, all Nate's big dreams are squashed. If he's going to raise the baby, uni is out of the window, and so is leaving Whitby, the small town he has lived all of his life. The weight of his decision presses down on Nate, and even though he wants his baby, he can't help but think about all the things he is going to miss out on.
But, when Nate meets Seb Hawthorne, a out-and-proud colleague at the café both boys work at, Nate starts to realise his life might not have ended after all: it has just changed direction.
