‘Daughter,’ interrupted her mother, chittering in amusement as Annabeth was jolted out of planning mode. Beyond her, the Olympians argued over everything and nothing at all. ‘I see you plotting. How strange that you look like me, when you do.’

Annabeth grimaced. Once upon a time, that would have made her happy.

An inciting event is a point at the beginning of a story that sets the plot in motion. All events that follow are due to the inciting event, whether big or small in the grand scheme of a story.

Petra's inciting event is getting picked on by a god to join a quest she doesn't want. But, what is a story without proper motivation for its characters?

A boring one, but one Petra wishes she could have.

In which a girl is reborn as the daughter of Dionysus, to her utter chagrin. If only that were the least of her worries.

    Summary

So, my final year at New Rome gets hijacked when Apollo drags me to Tokyo for a “family emergency,” then literally vanishes in a crowd. Two days I’m lost, armed with nothing but god-given Japanese and a burner phone. Then I meet Yuuji—this pink-haired kid jogging at night who helps me find a motel. Good guy. We swap numbers.

A week later, he calls: his whole class is failing English. I show up to tutor them, and immediately, I know these aren’t normal students. The girl, Nobara, looks at me like I’m a suspicious fashion choice. The quiet one, Megumi, watches me like I might morph into a monster any second. And honestly, the energy around them? It’s not like monsters. It’s colder. Sadder.

Then he shows up. Gojo. White hair, blindfold, and a vibe that screams god-level trouble. He slings an arm around me and says, “No Cursed Energy… but you’re packing something else, aren’t you?”

I played dumb. “Just a guy who’s good with irregular verbs.”

He just grinned, like I was his new favorite puzzle. And that’s how I got adopted by a bunch of teenage curse-fighters while trying to find my missing sun-god cousin in a city that feels more wrong by the hour. Typical Jackson luck. Annabeth’s gonna kill me.

    Summary

Everyone knows that the gods have numerous children. Besides being responsible for controlling aspects of the world, that's what they're known for. Demigods are a dime a dozen, and while the gods do care for their children, we all know that they are willing to send them to their deaths for 'the greater good,' or sometimes just for a chance at glory.

But what if demigods... didn't exist?

What if there was a Pantheon that couldn't have children with mortals, only producing stillborns and monsters?

Faced with the threat of It's world's timeline being destroyed due to this cosmic error, Fate itself seeks to intervene. It tears through reality and snatches away a select few demigods to gift to It's Pantheon, erasing and manipulating the memories of It's most vulnerable chosen, as well as rewinding the years on all that It takes, to help with the bonding process.

This choice leaves 9 demigods trapped in an Ancient Greece that not even they can recognize. Stranded, disoriented, and stripped of their claims, they must tread carefully, for the roaming monsters are not the only threat.
