Summary
It starts with Loki clinging to the broken edge of the Bifrost. It starts with, “No, Loki.” And it starts with a fall. Loki doesn’t know how long he falls between the branches of Yggdrasil, through deepest black and blazing stars and mottled nebulas... Loki doesn’t remember the last moments of his fall, nor does he remember the moment his weakened body impacts the hard crust of Midgard’s surface... He vaguely registers voices speaking English, speaking rapidly and speaking over each other, then all semblance of consciousness slips away…
Two weeks later Coulson tells him, “Mr. Stark has agreed to put you up in his New York home and you can expect me or another agent to check in periodically. Please try to maintain a low profile.”

An alternate universe in which Loki falls from the Bifrost, but instead of landing in the tangled web of Thanos, he lands on Earth. Between becoming a public figure to spite SHIELD's instructions and casually (and then not so casually at all) dating a billionaire, Loki reluctantly helps prepare Earth's mightiest for the inevitable arrival of Thanos.

Summary
Loki is awoken in the middle of the night by a botched ritual and can't help himself but to investigate. Now he's cosmically bound to a little boy who needs about as much therapy as he does. Possibly more? It would be one thing if the boy was simply a random mortal, but he's probably not and might just be the child of Hermes! Or his mother's a talented liar. That doesn't explain the basement, though... Or the town.
