Summary
“Carlos, who are you talking about?”
“My boyfriend. He left,” Carlos slurred.
TK’s heart was racing now, a silent laugh escaping him. But he needed to be absolutely sure who the sleeping, drunken Carlos was talking about.
“What’s his name?”
“Tyler Kennedy. But he’ll kill you if you call him that.”~*~
An alternative rendition of how TK and Carlos may have gotten back together.

Summary
Sometimes the calls were romantic nonsense where TK would tell him how much he missed him and how he’d show him once he got home, other times he called on the tail end of pure adrenaline monologuing about the excitement of the day, Carlos hung on every sound and every breath.

Summary
Carlos is certainly aware of TK Strand. He wasn’t aware the man had cycled through quite this many teams before being traded to the Dallas Stars. His reputation as a hot-head and a trouble-maker precedes him, but there are dozens of players like that in this league. Carlos has never considered Strand to be significantly worse than any of the rest of them, but maybe he just wasn’t paying close enough attention. The person described in the article he just read doesn’t exactly sound like someone Carlos should be thrilled about having as a new teammate.
Or, the enemies-to-friends-to lovers Hockey AU that no one asked for but I was perhaps born to write.
