“—Aglaea, is the new guy here yet?”

Aglaea looks up at the man standing behind Phainon, then back at him. “Phainon, meet—”

Phainon doesn’t turn around, doesn’t have to. He could never forget that voice.

    “Mydei.”

Or; Ever landed the job of your dreams only to find out that your new boss is your high school crush, the same one who rejected you almost a decade ago? No? Guess it's just Phainon's luck.

    Summary

Phainon is an S-rank Hunter, the national hero known as "the Deliverer", and the Guildmaster of "Dawn" - a destitute guild ready to cover up everyone else's mistakes. The entire city adores him for his unwavering, dazzling smile and his breathtakingly spectacular ultimate "Angel" form. In a critical moment, he can spread giant wings, soar into the air, and rain down a meteor shower upon his enemies. And no one must know: that the flawless beta-hero is, in reality, an omega reliant on suppressors, for whom every use of his ultimate means burning his mana reserves to absolute zero and stepping closer to the edge of the abyss.

Mydei is an A-rank solo mercenary whose main goal in Okhema is to bake perfect croissants and avoid attention. And no one must know: exactly how he is tied to the bloody history of Castrum Kremnos, and that underneath his official A-rank lies not just a "berserker", but a powerful blood mage.

    OR

A detailed guide by Mydei on how to go, in just a few days, from the "God, I hate this fake, smiling poser" stage to the "if a single hair falls from my angel's head, I will drown this city in blood" stage.

And no, that's not a threat. It's the new reality.

The last thing Mydeimos expects to hear when he rushes to visit Phainon in the infirmary is that his supposed longtime bitter rival has been whining and begging for him on his sickbed.

    Summary

Only the faint lights of the rainy evening from the street illuminate the dark room. When they finally pull the hood off their head, Phainon’s breath catches.

Soft blond hair, rain-drenched and clinging to his face. Unlike Gorgo’s, his carries crimson-dyed tips, and a thin braid falls along one side. Though the resemblance to the scientist is uncanny, subtle differences sharpen his features. Red ink under his eye, and…

Fluffy golden cat ears rising from the crown of his head.

They twitch faintly, adjusting as if reclaiming their natural shape after being flattened beneath the hood for hours.

Phainon’s fingers twitch. The urge to touch them is dangerously strong.

Titans, read the fucking room, he scolds himself.

    This is not the time.

After the death of a renowned scientist, Phainon's life takes an unexpected turn when one of her creations, a cat-hybrid named Mydeimos, breaks into his home seeking his aid.

    Summary

Drinking in the sights around him, it seems that Aglaea put extra work in to make sure Phainon didn’t stick out like a sore thumb. Even he had to admit he looked good, that even if he didn’t stick out, he still managed a sense of class different from the grunge surrounding him. It made the tension in his shoulders drain out, down that whirlpool in his glass, lost to haunt him in the morning when he had the mind to regret the decisions he’ll probably make tonight.

Perhaps that is why, the next time someone mindlessly sat next to him, Phainon swirled his glass again and glanced at them in interest. They were a large man, about as tall as himself with muscles to match, that crowded close to the counter as if it would satiate their unrest. Their fingers fiddled with the short braid that hung loosely by their neck, the tip of it dyed a bloody red that was practically invisible in the here and now, but Phainon could guess that it demanded attention anywhere else. That was, of course, if the attitude this man carried with him didn’t catch it first.

Or Phainon finds a stranger that is just as tense as he is. Sometimes it’s productive to release oneself from restraints.
