    Jon adjusted without a word, his arm tightening across Damian's shoulders, tugging him closer before leaning down to speak.

    "Wanna get a pretzel?" Jon asked.

    "Did we not eat an hour ago?" Damian teased, a happy lilt in his voice, "You can get a pretzel, I would rather have a cookie."

    Jon gave a snort, "They have cinnamon sugar pretzels?"

    "I'm fine with that, they have a glaze dip, right—"

    Before Damian could finish, Jon stopped suddenly, a giant smile on his face. Jon pulled away from Damian, moving to stand in front of him and planting both hands on Damian's shoulders.

    "No."

    Damian raised a brow.

    "No?"

    "No." Jon nodded, "No pretzels. Dames, it's October."
