You were capable of calling back the handsome face of your partner that loved you unconditionally. You could remember every scrawny of the small basement you called yours even though it really wasn't. The vulnerable looks underneath his dickish behavior and his tired eyes would never leave your broken mind.
You loved him. He loved you back. You had something to be happy, a reason to keep existing.
Then he left, and he took your will to live with him.
