Richie leaned in, his curly black hair falling into his face. Eddie, feeling a surge of affection and boldness, reached out and gently pushed the hair back from Richie’s face. Richie’s gaze met Eddie’s, both of them momentarily lost in the intimacy of the gesture.
Richie’s voice softened, teasing but with a hint of genuine warmth. “What’s this? You trying to make me look like a shampoo commercial Eds?”
“Not my name dude” but Eddie couldn’t help but smile, a little flustered. “I just didn’t want you to look like you’re drowning in your own hair.”
Richie’s gaze lingered, and for a moment, the playful bickering gave way to something more tender.

He remembers his Mom telling Ted Wheeler to calm down, that he was going too far – but she didn’t protest too much. Mike had run up to his room right after, forgetting the glass of water he had originally meant to get.
I won’t have a freak of nature living in my house, he curls up and sobs as another stab of pain flows through him, I’ll tie him to a post outside and let someone take him.
Or: Mike Wheeler presents as an Omega and promptly decides no one else can know. It doesn't matter that it's killing him, or that Will presents as an Alpha and Mike wants nothing else but be his. He can't let anyone know he's anything but a Beta, so he decides to take his suppressants and be content with pining from afar. This comes back to bite him in the ass in quite a spectacular fashion.
