Summary
Ever since he was six, Knuckles was fending for himself, which was hard enough without scavengers constantly trying to abduct him to be put in an arena for their own entertainment. It was even harder when all of his free time was spent searching for the last remaining member of the Owl Clan.
That decade was the most difficult part of his life, and now he had security, he had a family, but how was he supposed to get used to that when his entire life was spent just trying to survive another day?
He couldn’t.

The darkness of the Wachowski’s attic reminds Knuckles of being captured.
This will make more sense if you have read the “Always Bet on Red” Pre-quill comic for the second movie, but you can definitely read this without having read the prequel comic.

Summary
After a particularly difficult battle, Sonic unwillingly transforms into the corrupted Super Sonic. Usually, the only problems with this would be his foe getting an extra merciless beating, but this time, Tails is on the scene, and Super Sonic is more than happy to spend some quality time with his little brother.

Super Sonic is more interested in annoying Tails than hurting him.

Summary
Soon after the events of Sonic the hedgehog 3 (1994), Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles are travelling together and learning to trust each other. Sonic doesn’t like how much of his freedom he sacrificed to be a part of this found family, Knuckles doing so much to take care of the trio is making the hedgehog feel useless, and Tails is finding it hard to believe that his new friends don’t see him as a freak or unwanted.
I wrote Sonic as 15, Knuckles as 16, and Tails as 9. Sonic may seem a little less mature, that’s because my head canon of classic Sonic is that he was very undomesticated before Sonic Adventure.
