Summary
Carol is a trauma surgeon at a university hospital in Albuquerque. Still healing from the death of her wife, she sets out to make some new friends.
Zosia is a new surgeon at the hospital joining the trauma team, and is given Carol as a tour guide.
As they bond, Carol comes to terms with the idea of new love and whether ruining a friendship is worth the risk.

Just a slow burn Bartender AU
Carol Sturka is a sad (possibly pathetic), usually drunk, grumpy 53 year old author. She spends 4-7 days a week hanging out at the local lesbian bar ‘The Hunnycomb’. Where she flirts, drinks and crushes hard… on the Bartender.
Zosia Wydra is that bartender. A ex model that is all smiles, hopelessly in love with Carol, and absolutely terrified of loosing a friendship. To make matters worse, she promised her best friend (Koumba) that she’d bring Carol as her date, but problem is… they aren’t together… yet.
