Summary
The Fleet Admiral took her in, a single sweep of his eyes across her announcing his feelings, something far more personal than simple contempt in the furrow of his brow. Judge, jury, and executioner; he’d already decided her charges, and what her punishment would be, for the choices she’d made. The only crime she’d committed, but for a man like him, it was enough.
“Arrest her.”

Summary
When the warm spouts of liquid erupted from their bodies, liquid that was bitter but Vegas still gulped down like it was the finest liquor he had ever tasted… maybe Kinn delighted in that show of eagerness. Eagerness that sometimes matched the determination Vegas held to overthrow Kinn and his side of the family from their lives.
And when Vegas’s face crumbled and his body tried to coax more of anything from Kinn… he enjoyed it like he had never enjoyed anything before.
(Maybe he would never enjoy anything like that after what they had ended. Because it did have to end, eventually. One of these days that seemed closer with every mole Vegas had more than just a hand in planting in the main family’s compound.)

Summary
"Listen." Shanks leans forward, elbow on his knee. "I've got a crew to protect and friends to keep out of trouble. You have to give me a reason not to throw you overboard right now."
Shamrock studies him in silence. Shanks is right, of course. He wouldn't trust himself either. It's already a miracle that he's on this ship. Shanks could've left him in the snow to bleed out or freeze to death, whichever came first. It's what Shamrock would have done.
"... I refused to offer my tribute to the gods," he says at last.Bookmarked by Leta_7903
