Xiao Zhan keened out a small whine, and tightened both his arms around Yibo’s neck, nearly strangling him with the strength of it. Yibo wheezed and tried to loosen the arms from around him. They were now out of the DiDi and stood before the steps to the back entrance to their lobby.
Looking up, he spotted the new guard eyeing them with trepidation. Yibo tried to throw him a sheepish smile but he was pretty sure it came out as a grimace, since the man’s expression darkened considerably.

Like he’d predicted, Xiao Zhan jolted up in shock, barely registering the way his phone slid down and fell into the abyss of blankets. The bag of chips was the next to go as it arced through the air and fell off the bed.
The remnant was a flustered, shocked Xiao Zhan whose eyes went from widened fear to muted realization, then closed in relief as he sighed.
Yibo tries to prank Xiao Zhan with the infamous Tiktok trend of 'Calling My Husband By His Name', but poor Xiao Zhan takes it to heart.
