And what better than to have the reborn Hydro Dragon Sovereign, newly named Neuvillette, act as that Hydro Archon? Now with her as the Duke of the Fortress of Meropide so far from the city, and a rightfully appointed Iudex Wriothesley, there would be no way for anyone to discover the truth of there having never been a Hydro Archon for five centuries.

A short fairy tale retelling of Fontaine's recent great flood, sensationalised as a story of fantastical creatures. It was published in the Steambird under an anonymous label.
Due to the recent request by the Iudex himself for any information on the writer to be submitted to the Palais Mermonia, many believe a leak of confidential information has been hidden within the fairy tale-like retelling. Furthermore, the issues containing the tale have all been confiscated, adding to the mystery of the fairy tale.
Just what could the hidden meaning possibly be.

Summary
When one explosion goes off, no matter how small, another follows. And another, and another.
The fuse that's been lit is connected to a whole line of bombs. Alone, they are not much. But they line the foundations of life on Bygone Island and there are many of them. Some of them have already blown up, some are still a long ways off from igniting. But now, the main event is on it's way. It won't be long before everything spirals downhill, before everything collapses under their feet.
Sonic quitting wasn't the match that lit the fuse, but it's the bomb that's unstabilized everything they've built.
They can only hope what remains of Team Sonic can stay afloat as their burning ship sinks under the torrent.
