Summary
As an Auror, James Potter is no stranger to split-second decisions.
Five years ago, he made the wrong one and hurt the person who mattered more to him than he realized.
Now, the consequences come to haunt him in the form of Regulus Black, an international Quidditch superstar returning home after his successful stint in the US.
When Regulus receives several death threats, James gets assigned as his protective detail, stuck guarding the life of a man who hates his guts. Because one thing is clear: Regulus hasn’t forgiven him. Not one bit. And he’ll go to incredible lengths to make his job as difficult as possible, including but not limited to slipping out without alerting James, strutting around half-naked, and parading a string of hook-ups under his nose.
As a consummate professional, James is determined to leave their past behind and focus on the task. He’ll keep Regulus alive, no matter how hard he’s trying to push his buttons. No matter how much James wants to push Regulus against the wall and kiss the brattiness right out of him.
When the Supernova collides with the Sun, it triggers an explosion.
And in the aftermath, nobody is safe. -

Summary
James looks back at him, taking him in properly, his gaze slow and judgemental. When he meets Regulus’ eyes again, the corner of his mouth is turned up in a cruel smirk.
“So, this is the perfect brother.” His eyes zero in on the mess around his bed. “I have to say, you’re not quite what I expected.”
Regulus feels a tell-tale flush rising up his neck, into his cheeks. He straightens imperiously. “I have to say, I wasn’t even aware of your existence up until moments ago. But nice to know that you’ve been thinking of me.”
OR:
The first time Regulus meets James, he hates him.
This keeps happening until, one day, he doesn’t.
