    Gabi’s grin turned wicked. He slid his arm around Nico’s waist without breaking stride, palm flattening against the side of Nico’s ribs. His fingers curled lightly into the team polo fabric, tugging just enough to pull Nico a fraction closer - warm, grounding, possessive in the most casual way.

    Just two weeks ago in Silverstone, it had felt like a fever dream — Nico on the podium and Gabriel had been there, front and center, cheering louder than anyone.

    Now it was already Sunday in Spa and Nico was… different. Something had shifted, and Nico wasn’t meeting him halfway anymore.

    Maybe it was just the weather getting to him. He would blame it on the cold settling in his bones. He has been ignoring his symptoms for the past week as if denial alone could strong-arm him into recovery. So far, it wasn’t working.
