“I’m not afraid of losing.” His voice was firm, arms crossing over his chest. “I merely do not see a point in participating in an event where I would clearly have the advantage.” They didn’t need the money, so he saw no point in wasting his time with something meaningless like this.

“You need to talk to your boy.”Kratos looked up suddenly from where he’d been sharpening hunting knives. Mimir would gulp if he could.
“About what?” Kratos asked, with well concealed panic that would go unnoticed by an untrained eye.“Ideally? Anything.” Mimir said, desperate.

Kratos was not a man of many words. While this did not change, the family dynamic certainly did.
Things were not perfect, but no family ever was. Mimir bridged the gaps of communication wherever he could.-
