Ilya Rozanov was not a weak man, but neither was his beautiful mother. Irina Rozanov was the funniest, kindest, strongest person he knew. Perhaps some would hear the news and remark “like mother, like son”, but in Ilya’s mind he only inherited his mother's struggle. He wasn't funny or kind like she was, to most of the world he was arrogant, cocky, and he had the skill to back it up and it only made him all the more hated by his opponents.
