I'd consider this the equivalent of concept art or a pilot episode that doesn't reflect my final decisions, in terms of my characterizations of these two, but it still has a special place in my heart. Originally posted June-July 2020.

Summary
SkekLi returns from abroad to find that skekGra has been exiled and the court is tense and perilous. His only friends, if one can call them that, often bring the opposite of comfort in a fraught time. SkekNa finds himself, through his own patent idiocy (if that’s really all there is to it), caught up in the matter.
___________This is very UngNa-heavy and would also be filed under that series if we could have multiple series. Writing this originally got me interested in the dynamic of these three characters in particular, and I’m still obsessed with them.
Li is really put through the wringer here. I cannot overstate that.

This would kind of be the tone of much of the sequel to Nose to Nose.
