Jaime bit back a frown. “That’s not a score, you imbecile.”
“But I thought you don’t say zero in tennis?”
Brienne, kinder as ever, corrected him. “You don’t. But you don’t say one either.”
“A pity,” Renly said. “It sounded cute.” He looked from Jaime to Brienne with a knowing smile. “Although, to be fair, she could do better.”

Loras glanced down at his phone for the fifth time that hour. He had thirteen messages from his manager, three voicemails from Margaery, and a picture from Arianne that he didn’t dare open. But not a single missed call.
He beckoned his assistant over. “You did give him my number, didn’t you?”
She didn’t seem to enjoy the insinuation that she hadn’t. “Of course,” she said. “I put it in his hands personally.”
“And did you check I wrote it down right?”
“Yes.”
“Well, then why would he ask me out and not call?” Running his hands through his hair, Loras both tried and failed to keep the petulance out of his voice. “I mean, if I’m going to give my number out to random hot stalkers, then the least they could do in return is actually call.”

Loras just smiled. He wondered whether he should bother telling the boy that that was the worst description of Renly he’d ever heard.
