The malodour was almost unbearable as he opened the door with one hand and held his breath behind his other hand. His facial features were scrunched—and so it took him longer than he should have to see the horrifying, scaly, massive corpse blocking his front door.
With slitted eyes, he glimpsed row upon row of iridescent scales splattered with drying blood. Long, thin spikes on a humped back. Sharp, conical teeth in gaping jaws. Very sharp, deadly teeth—
He screamed at the top of his voice. Slammed the door shut and staggered away.
He shrieked, "Monster!"
________________________Jaskier lives alone in a cottage in the woods, selling handmade jewelry in the nearby town for a living. His solitary existence is uneventful, until he wakes up one day to find a dead wyvern on his doorstep, left there by an even more menacing creature. But when the creature later returns to his cottage, he discovers that it isn't so menacing after all--and befriends it.

The prince blushes harder. He really is quite sweet, like a little tigerdillo kitten trying to act fierce. Sokka may have to keep him.
Instead of trying to fight Zuko during the second episode, Sokka does the one thing he’s actually good at- He flirts.
Poor Zuko doesn’t stand a chance.

“ Sokka’s heart started with concern, which surprised him, because he was still slightly wary of the firebender. But here was Zuko, huddled on the floor, at his mercy. “Zuko, are you okay?”
Again, that impossibly weak voice. “G-got th-the b-b-bolts...” Zuko whispered. Sokka looked at the frosty bolts on the floor. He scooped them up and dumped them in his pocket carelessly, never taking his attention away from Zuko. “Great, you got the bolts, but are you okay?”
The lump curled in on itself. “C-cold...” It whimpered. Sokka knew the dangers of hypothermia, growing up in the Southern Water Tribe, and he realized Zuko had it bad.”
Slightly canon divergent but not like plot altering one shot where the coolers at the Boiling Rock are a lot colder and it gives Zuko and Sokka the chance to have some ~male bonding~
This was written to be platonic but I tagged Zuko/Sokka because it can be interpreted that way if you want.

Zuko opened his eyes, and screwed them shut immediately after. He woke to a headache nearly splitting his skull in two, and a considerable gap in his memory. No matter how hard he tried he couldn't recount last night's events past the shot he had after doing the macarena, and part of him wished he'd had that shot sooner so he wouldn't have to live with the knowledge that he did that.
Or, the morning after Zuko gets shitfaced and gets himself a boyfriend in the bathroom of some club.
YOU HAVE TO READ THE FIC THIS IS INSPIRED BY, or it won't make sense, since this is a continuation!
