The Amazing Digital Circus is no more. After the death of Caine, the server holding them hostage was destroyed. They were set free. But it didn't feel that way. Their brains were cloned into the digital world, and their real bodies went on with their lives. Never knowing the horrors they unknowingly subjected their clones to. But after the systematic dismantling of the digital circus, somehow, their cloned minds remerged with their real bodies.
Days, months...years of trauma and whatever psychological horrors they were exposed to crash back down into their bodies, merging the two souls. And now Pomni... Elizabeth has to pick up the pieces. Pieces of her real self, fragments of Pomni, and whatever is left of the others from the circus.
Is there enough left of them to be salvageable? Can they truly be saved?
Maybe they find everything they need in each other.

Summary
Pomni is a junior legal assistant at Caine & Abel, technically competent yet emotionally hanging by a thread. By the time she leaves work after an especially hellish day—missed sleep, angry emails and even angrier people she’s barely holding it together. So when her car breaks down on the side of the road, it feels less like bad luck and more like the universe personally telling her to go fuck herself.
That’s when Jax shows up. A mechanic with grease on his hands and a mouth full of attitude, acting like helping her is the biggest inconvenience of his night. Pomni braces herself for judgment or some half-assed comment, but instead he just gets to work on her engine. He fixes the problem, explains it in rough, simple terms, and doesn’t make a big deal out of it. By the time her car is running again, Pomni is still tired, still anxious, still very much a mess. but she feels a little less alone and a lot warmer inside.

Summary
“What do you want?” He asks when she’s a few feet away.
Pomni nervously pulls at her gloves, “Oh I uh. I just didn’t want you to be alone in the woods?” She offers.
Jax looks at her for a long moment before tsking and rolling his eyes, turning so that he’s standing sidewise in the path, and Pomni can see the slit that exposes his upper thigh. The hare catches onto her eyes locking onto the detail in the cloth, and feels something coil in his lower gut at the look in her eyes. She blinks and it’s gone. Shame. Wait, no it’s not. He sighs, “Fine, whatever. But we’re not doing whatever Caine cooked up for this, I’m not participating in this.” Jax huffs and crosses his arms.
“Okay then...so...what do you want to do?” Pomni asks, stepping a little closer. She positions herself to stand in front of him, looking up at his face framed by the brim of the hat atop his head.

Summary
The skirt was too short. He was used to his arms being exposed, but not his legs. He quite liked not having his legs exposed to the world, actually, and having to pull the skirt down so much was very annoying. The frills didn’t suit him at all, and he thought he looked very unfitting in the dress.
Pomni felt otherwise, apparently.
