Katsuki didn’t hear the knock at his door.
Going deaf had been a new adjustment for him. He had been steadily losing his hearing for years, in high school, but his stubborn teenage self had refused to accept it.
Now, at the age of twenty-two, Katsuki was ninety-seven percent deaf. He started teaching himself Japanese sign language in secret during his second year, after the fight with All For One took that first big piece of his hearing from him; he was fluent now.
Or: Katsuki is still getting used to being deaf. After a confession, Izuku helps him get used to a couple more things.

Summary
Katsuki was fourteen when he was told he'll be deaf within the next five months.
He is eighteen now, he's been fully deaf for three years, and still coped up in his own home. His parents only communicate by writing on sticky notes. They were too busy to learn sign language, as they said. He has no friends, no one to talk to.
A delivery boy changes his life with curry and patience.
OR: A Moonlight Chicken AU with a twist. (Katsuki as Heart, Izuku as Li Ming), but you don't need to know the story to enjoy this. Izuku learns sign language for Katsuki and Katsuki never had someone who would learn sign language for him.

Summary
Katsuki had learned that sometimes being a Hero meant putting one's needs on the back-burner, and to be honest he was more okay with that than most. Easier to deflect questions when he had a ready answer; being a Hero came first.
He wanted nothing more than to be the best he can be, secondary gender by damned. That is until the only brand of suppressants he could stomach suddenly became discontinued. Now his body is forcing a heat he hasn't asked for, making decisions for him. He’s left wondering if it would be better suffering in silence at home, buried under a nest that will never feel like enough. Or giving in to his friend's request to try out the one place he never wished to visit even if he was dragged there kicking and screaming.
How far was Katsuki willing to go to seem normal.
Being an Omega sucked.

Everyone knows alpha/alpha mates aren't really a thing. Maybe not completely unheard of but certainly rare, and the idea of BONDED alphas is just freaking laughable. It's common knowledge they don't work, widely accepted because biology dictates and blah blah blah. Alphas set off all the wrong instincts in each other, rutting becomes downright dangerous, the whole thing is historically a disaster.
