She slackened her grip but kept you off the ground but she didn't need to worry, as your eyes began to droop even as they hadn't left hers just yet and Alcina felt a sudden burst of unadulterated glee.
You weren't some failed experiment gifted to her or wandered your way onto her castle grounds seeking shelter. Like Mother Miranda, you were an accidental direct product of the Cadou—Alcina could sense it as your aura was similar to that of Miranda's, though not as powerful since you were still so young. But you chose her. Her.
Like many others, you found yourself running away from your problems to some remote corner of the world in the mountains. But you can't run from karma, no one can, but who said that karma couldn't be both a curse...and a blessing?
