"You've ruined me," Dunk says, his voice hoarse and wretched. Aerion doesn't say anything. Dunk grabs Aerion by the shoulders and shakes him. "Do you know what you've done?" he yells. "You've ruined me!"
Aerion finally meets his gaze. The flames dance in his eyes, and Dunk thinks that he sees something. But he can’t delude himself any longer. There’s no regret or guilt. There's no love or even anger.
