Someone tried to murder me by burying me alive, but they messed it up so now I’m lost and have no idea where I am. Or who I am.
“Oh, I was traveling.” Scott answered mildly. “Got a bit bored of my home, so I left. Wanted to see what was out there, you know how it is.” He made some vague gestures. “Got a bit lost though, so I ended up here. What did you call it again?”
“Oakhurst.”
“Oakhurst…” Hm, sounded vaguely familiar.
or : in which Scott wakes up from his sleeping curse but his memory very much does not, leaving a very confused vampire with some serious memory issues who has no idea he’s a vampire in the first place. Surely this can only go well!

“I’m fine.” KID said, standing up. He didn’t turn around fully, but he did angle himself backwards just a bit to look at Saguru, so he could see half of his face. He would have been able to see more, had KID’s hands not been covering the other half. Thick, dark liquid was steadily dripping from it, onto his collar. Saguru must have looked as horrified as he felt, because KID’s visible eye sharpened. “I’m fine.” He insisted.
“Obviously not!” Saguru answered, louder than he intended. “Kuroba, your face is literally covered in-“
“Nothing.” Kuroba interrupted, a panicked edge in his voice. “There’s nothing there because I’m fine.”
Kaito gets shot at a heist. This leads to revelations for both him and a certain blonde detective chasing him.

So when KID finally appeared at the beginning of the heist, balancing on a hair thin steal wire while quite a bit up from the ground—
“Oi, KID! Don’t you dare be careless and slip, do you hear me?!”
—he’d just shouted on instinct. It wasn’t that weird— ever since that heist with the daring lady (who had since been charged with harassment) the Task Force had adopted a habit of asking KID about his day, subtly inquiring about his home life and sometimes even (making attempts at) scolding him for his less than stellar life choices, which most of the times meant injuries or extremely reckless stunts.
“I would never, Dad.” KID responded, tone as careless as always.

Summary
It was surprisingly hard to keep a vigilante presence off the radar.
Somehow, it was when Tommy was using his identity that could literally turn invisible, that he’d been almost immediately clocked by the heroes. He’d really only been just starting to have a presence when the heroes cornered him about it. Surprisingly, instead of attempting arrest, they’d recruited him. And who was he to say no to free access to the hero database and nice bathrooms?
One power per secret identity, that was his rule, and he still had a couple more up his sleeve. The heroes could have one. As a treat. He was generous like that. He’d just take more care to keep his other identities off the radar.
Simple.
If only things worked out as planned. Somehow, it hadn’t taken long for his next vigilante persona to be noticed as well, though not by heroes this time.
“I hear you talk to ghosts.” Said a deadpan voice.--
Tommy can't help wanting to help, and he keeps getting powers so why not have more than one secret identity, yeah? Hero, vigilante, villain, coffee barista, and maybe one other.
Or I read so, so many vigilante fics that I caved in and stuffed all of my ideas into one fic.

Sanji looks like he’s fallen asleep standing up. Zoro recalls the way he had staggered up in front of him, clothes torn and skin marred and bruised, and put himself between Zoro and Kuma. He had stood there, arrogant yet so proud, feigning he was put together after the blast despite his whole body shaking.
"I’ve always been prepared to sacrifice myself for the others."
Zoro holds his hand out and lets the cook fall into it.

Sanji knows he should be concerned about it, that he’s worrying his crew mates. He’s more concerned about the gaps in his day, that he doesn’t remember how he got here. It’s so frustrating. Trying to understand it is like running water through a sieve. Why is it that he can’t remember this, yet the memories he tries to forget stay locked inside his mind to torment him whenever he least expects it.

Sanji wants nothing more than to forget his past, but it has a way of creeping up on him in ways that he can't predict or hide, no matter how secret.
