Summary
He rolled onto his side to cuddle into Jay, watching as his alpha read a book, absentmindedly scratching his three-day stubble.
“Need anything, my love?” Jay kept reading while he asked, adjusting his reading glasses.
“Nope. Everything’s perfect.” Jungwon soaked up Jay's happy scent, almost purring when his alpha had a hand brush through his hair. He had his eyes closed, when he heard Jay flip a page of his book.

Summary
“Hot dude from art theory, right?”
Jake despite his confusion over the context blurts out. “All this hotness, Wonnie, yet bitchless through and through.”
Jay outstretches his hand to shake his and introduces himself. “That’s just Jake’s very impolite way of announcing me as an eligible bachelor. Pleasure to meet you. Park Joengseong or you could just call me Jay.”
Jay’s hand is warm in his and Jungwon can’t help but notice his calloused fingers.
“Who the hell talks like that? Casanova?” -

Summary
It’s not like today was supposed to be different, because of course, it isn’t new that they’ve had schedules together before. Van rides, camera crews, fake bickering that’s only sort of fake.
But somehow, ever since they started calling this real, everything feels a little louder. Like Jungwon's hoodie strings Jay’s fingers won't stop fidgeting with, tugging and twisting like he’s done it a hundred times before, or how Jungwon doesn’t stop him—just sighs, keeping eyes on the monitor, mouthing off about Jay's Overwatch skin choices like it doesn’t mean anything.
Today, they just happened to have a schedule.
And maybe they’re a little more obvious than usual.

Summary
“You look good,” he blurts. Like an idiot.
Surprise crosses Jay’s face. It smooths out quickly. “So do you.”
“Oh, please.”
His ex-boyfriend is a hunky lawyer who represents clients while dressed in luxury brands on a daily basis. Meanwhile, Jungwon has worn the same, raggedy scrubs for a week now, hasn’t washed his hair in days, and is sneaking into said ex’s high-rise apartment building to steal back his delivery of three packets of sour cream and onion chips. He knows how this looks on paper.
(or: the five times jungwon “accidentally” ships his package to his ex-boyfriend’s address and the one time the ex-boyfriend—jay—does instead)

Summary
“I hate you,” Jungwon whispers, more to himself than to Jay. He feels the words more than he means them, but still, it’s safer to say it.
Jay laughs softly, the sound vibrating between them. “You don’t.”
It’s all rivalry. Volleyball and Basketball teams are known to clash. They argue constantly, mostly because Jungwon's a brat and Jay secretly wants him in his lap.

Summary
“Do you miss Jay Hyung?" Jungwon scoffs as he reads the comment that caught his eye.
“Why would I miss him? I see him every day.”
Jungwon looked off into the distance, peering out of the window as he smiled to himself. The fans watching would never know, but he wasn’t being truthful, he began to reminisce about the phone sex they had a few nights before, which was truthfully the only thing stopping Jungwon from missing Jay to the point of insanity. -

Summary
Jay leans against the door frame when met with nothing but the younger's silence, still in the same clothes from this morning with his suit jacket hanging off of his arm. His tired eyes lock with Jungwon's as he tilts his head slightly to the side. His wordless request of being invited in.
A part of his brain comes up with the unwelcome thought of how Jay looks as beautiful as ever if not more, even with the grief and the inevitable exhaustion following it hollowing his eyes out and curving the straight, strong line of his shoulders inward.
Jungwon pulls the door wider open and Jay takes that as the invitation to step inside. One more step and he's face to face with the younger. His arms hang uselessly by his side as his jacket falls to the ground and his forehead slumps against Jungwon's shoulder.
His breath hitches in his throat and it takes all of his strength not to break down into tears when a broken sigh shakes its way out through the older's hunched back. Jungwon's arms rise up and wrap around it without a thought and Jay's next breaths sound much more grounded than the previous one.

Summary
Jay wants to reach out and say stop pretending, but he knows he can’t. He’s the reason Jungwon’s pretending in the first place. He’s the reason Jungwon’s speaking like someone told him exactly what kind of person Jay would want — quiet, agreeable, easy to accommodate.
The words stick to his tongue like dried blood.
“Jungwon, I just— you can hate me,” he settles on finally, “I wouldn’t blame you.”
There’s a pause. Jungwon blinks, and then his expression softens just a little. He gives a small shrug, elegant and weightless.
“I don’t,” he says. “I don’t feel much of anything right now.”

“You’re killing them,” Jungwon repeats.
A beat passes. To Jungwon’s immense surprise, the god steps back, until only his sandals are touching the ground.
“Apologies.” The sound of his voice is startling. It is deep and hoarse, rattling from his throat as if it has not been put into use for a while. “Is that better?”
