There was sadness there, he knew that, and pain and anger and maybe just the tiniest bit of hope, burgeoning in him, like a flower growing in a desolate and scorched climate. Hope that he would see Castiel again, because he was an angel, because he always came back. Didn't he?

Shen Qingqiu had asked if he drank human blood. Luo Binghe said, “this disciple does not, Shizun.” And he didn’t. Not anymore, at least. It wasn’t a lie. It just wasn’t the truth.
