Summary
It's been six months since the Yellowjackets were rescued.
Shauna has gone on with her life, of course. She's doing fine—she has a mother who takes care of her and a guy who only wants to see her happy.
But when the past comes back to haunt her, and death lurks around every corner, she'll have to face everything she left to die in the snow.
With the help of Jackie's ghost, she'll have to find out whether someone is trying to kill the Yellowjackets, or if something supernatural followed them home.

Summary
During elementary school, Shauna was adorably shy and disinterested in everything but Jackie, her mom, Deb, and scribbling in her little books. As a kid, Jackie liked occupying Shauna's attention ( and maybe she still did).
By the time Shauna had her braces removed, people started paying more attention to her, and she hated it. Jackie literally found her first.
People began to eye her best friend as they passed in the halls. She hated seeing their eyes linger on Shauna as she passed in her soccer uniform ( the uniform she is only wearing because Jackie convinced her to try out)!
Shauna has a lot of people interested in her romantically (much to Jackie's dismay), but luckily for her, her best friend is oblivious to most of the attention. It does help that Jackie's presence is an effective tool in warding off any person encroaching on her territory.
