Summary
[Time passes oddly. Between one second and the next, Sokka has the Fire Lord pinned to the wall with his hands around the bastard’s throat. Golden eyes (one gold eye, his mind whispers) widen in shock.
“Sokka?” he chokes out. And then he smiles.
What the fuck?
“Sokka, I—”
Sokka slams his head against the wall, once, twice, and the smile wipes off his face. Good.
“What,” Sokka bites out, “have you done to my sister?”]
Or:
An injury leaves Sokka with amnesia. His last memory is of the failed invasion, of leaving his father behind in enemy territory on the Day of Black Sun. Of hopelessness. Rage.
But then he wakes up, and the war is over. Suddenly, he must come to terms with the fact that years have passed, and that he's somehow the Southern Water Tribe Ambassador to the Fire Nation. He is also supposedly friends with banished-Prince-turned-Fire-Lord Zuko, of all people. Close friends.
Yeah, nah.

Will didn't need to ask Robin how she knew Vickie wanted to kiss. He needed to find out how Robin knew that Vickie wanted to date.
If the last eighteen months at the Wheelers had shown Will anything, it was that there was a great difference between the two. A dangerous chasm that Will wasn't sure Mike would ever want to cross.
He needed an expert's advice. And maybe, just maybe, he'd eventually talk to Mike.

Summary
Instead of killing Dribbles the clown, Orin instead kidnaps him to take him home to enjoy himself in the Cult of Bhaal. Then she'll kill him. Eventually. When she gets around to it. Look, she's busy, okay!
She doesn't understand the rush. Doesn't she deserve something to amuse herself with while she waits for her blood-kin to come to the city so that she may destroy her not-sister and finally earn the respect of her cult? No one respects her around here! He does though. Dribbles... no... Norris respects her. Norris cares for her, treats her like no one else ever has before. Maybe that's why she's finding it so hard to kill him. She's coming to care for him.
Yet, the more she cares, the more she is urged by the others to sacrifice. That is what Bhaal demands, that nothing be loved more than Him, that all be given up to Him, that nothing be kept from Him. It is her duty to give up all to her Father, to lead the cult and set an example, to be stronger than her not-sister who never would have dreamed of giving such a gift to Him by slaughtering the little lordling she so desperately loved.
So she'll kill the clown.
Tomorrow.
There's always tomorrow.
